Course objectives
The aim of the course is to develop students' capabilites to interpret a theatrical text from both objective and individual aspects, with emphasis placed on text structure, plots, explication of characters and their motivations, and themes.

  • Analysis of the following drama texts:

Teacher's information
Conditions for successful completion of the course:
1. Two absences are permitted.
2. Active participation in the seminar (during the semester independent reading, participation in class discussions, completion of assignments on time are required.
3. Completion of the course paper (approx. 5 standard pages of text) submitted by the end of the credit week. Unsatisfactory papers will be returned for revision.
4. Credits are awarded based on the submission of the course paper with respect to the student´s participation in course discussions during the semester.
