Course objectives
Lectures present a basic set of auxiliary historical sciences, their place in historiographic research, function and method of use. They recapitulate basic information about written sources and methods of historical research with an emphasis on analysis, criticism, interpretation. From the individual disciplines, attention will be paid to the group of so-called basic and source auxiliary sciences, as well as faleristics, historical geography and vexillology.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: - work with specific types and kinds of sources from the field of individual auxiliary historical sciences.

Written test focused on theoretical and practical knowledge, incl. complex processing of a short text (transcription, decryption of abbreviations, especially chronological, metrological and numismatic content, dating, processing of abstract), description of the coat of arms, seal, currency, etc. Knowledge of editions on the history of the Czech lands and the history of Central Europe.
