Course objectives
Students should to cope the methodology of creation Bachelor thesis. Attention is given to choosing a topic, searching of literature, as well as thematic, linguistic and stylish treatment of professional text. The also to accept compliance of citation ethics and citation to ISO 690. Final procedures for the submission and defense of Bachelor thesis are mentioned. The seminar is completed by the student workshop in which students present to his colleagues and the professional public the current state of completion of the thesis and respond to comments and recommendations.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to write and defend a final thesis.

  • Subject content:
    Module 1 Structure of the thesis
    The language of the thesis
    Formal preparation of the thesis
    Methodology of citing used literature
    Module 2 Properties of professional text
    Thematic construction of a professional text
    Linguistic and stylistic construction of a professional text
    Module 3 Preparation of a student workshop
    Creation of presentations on the topics of the thesis
    Creation of posters on the topics of the diploma thesis.
    Final procedures: handing in the diploma thesis, working with the opponent's opinions and defense
    dissertation.
