Požadavky na studenta v průběhu semestru a kritéria hodnocení: výuka předpokládá průběžnou přípravu studenta. Kvalita výuky je systematicky prověřována formou testů, prezentací zadaných referátů aj. Zkouška je ústní a je zaměřena na prověření získaných teoretických znalostí.

Course objectives
Information science fastens closely technical and humane aspects of subject. Sociotechnological approach influences work of information professionals and brings new applications and theories. Main aims of this subject are to introduce new topics and trends in information science. Students should understand and critically think about new trends in subject. They should be able argue about recommended literature in written as well as oral form and read in second language. Synopsis: 1. Cognitive science, philosophy of mind, neuroscience, new artificial intelligence, cognitive informatics. 2. Paradox of productivity, social informatics in SSSR, social informatics and its research approaches, Actor network theory, information ecology. 3. Theory of nets, networks and innovations, virtual cooperation networks. 4. Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), cyberpsychology, MUDs, virtual rape, MUVEs, support of collaborative learning and activities. 5. Technology policy and biopolicy, neoluddism, extropianism, transhumanism, technological singularity, human-cyborg-android-robot, between technological singularity and environmental crisis. 6. Teilhard de Chardin and information society, theory of global brain. 7. Interaction, usability, human - computer interaction (HCI), objects of HCI. 8. Technostress - its kinds and consequences, information neurosis, prevention of technostress: ergonomics, information hygiene, bionic library.
