Course objectives
The lectures represent a selection of topics which demonstrate the phenomena typical of the English syntactic system. These are: 1) Nominal groups, 2) sentence modality, 3) non-finite clause, 4) relative clauses, 5) marked word order, 6) English punctuation. The aim of the seminars is to practice the knowledge about the English syntax acquired at the lectures or by self-study. Further syntactic phenomena are presented in the seminars by the students.
