- Course objectives
- Students will become familiar with the basic principles of operation of electric and magnetic forces during the measurements.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introductory Seminary - familiarization with lab regulations, safety regulations by working in the lab, basic first aid.
2. Electrical conductivity of conductors, semiconductors and electrolytes.
3. Measurement of basic values. Introduction to basic measuring devices. Measurement of voltage, current and resistance.
4. Study of capacitor. Determination of the capacity of the capacitor, determination of the value of charge depending on the geometric dimensions, connecting of the capacitors end the capacitor energy.
5. Verification of the Kirchhofo laws and Ohm's law, mixed serial-parallel connection of resistors, trans circuits (cube, star-triangle).
6. Bridge circuits - Wheatstone bridge
7. Work and power of electric current. Verification of the relationship among values, which describe direct current. Efficiency of el. equipment, thermal effects of el. current.
8. Electro-dynamic effects of electric current: conductor in a mag. field, Faraday's law of induction. Alternating current inception.
9. Study of inductance. Determination of inductance coils, energy stored in the inductor, inductance coupling, the role of the nucleus.
10. RLC in a circuit. Capacitance, inductance, impedance. Resonance.
11. Measurement of the magnetic circuit, validation of the Hopkinson Act.
12. Measurement of the hysteresis loop.
13. Verification of the relationship among values, which describe the direct and alternating current.
14. Measurement in the transformer.
