Course objectives
Seminars are focused on the practical application of management in museums and galleries taking into account the specific conditions in the Czech Republic. Emphasis is placed on the importance of management and organization of work in the museum as an institution , to the knowledge of the legislative environment , the possibilities of museum culture of giving in today's society.
Syllabus
  • 1. The Introduction to the main concepts
    2. The Management in conservation - the situation in the Czech Republic
    3. Stakeholders and mission statement - social ties museums and its main mission
    4. Analysis of links to specific institutions monument furnace, analysis of strengths and weaknesses Museum - practical exercises.
    5. A separate part of the fund raising , sponsorship and donating - how to get fans and funds .
    6. Financing the Protection of Monuments , i. e how to create a budget , how to check the budget , finance analysis museums , calculation of effective cost ) .
    7. The importance of teamwork and task manager (practical exercise test ) in the protection of monuments.
    8. Personnel management and protection of monuments - personality types , meeting with variations on the build quality team
    9. The importance of personnel management to work in the museum
    10. Planning how to prepare project - outline structure for project preparation in the form of practical exercises) and organizational changes and their significance in management of monuments.
