Course objectives
The course includes basic chapters of Geoinformatics and geographic information systems (GIS) for archeology students. Students there learn the basic principles of archaeological processing geodata in numerical and graphical form. Emphasis is placed on the representation of reality in the digital environment, a description of geoinformation technologies (GIT) and their use in archeology. In the seminars, students learn the theoretical and practical level, the basic rules geoinformatic work and learn produce cartographically correct outputs. Students will be able to handle the specific archaeological data archaeological sites. Classes will be held partly in the computer room and partly in a foreign language.
