Course objectives
This course is an overview of the theoretical foundations of various sound synthesis technology used in the practice of popular music and art music and related practical skills in working with hardware and software music synthesizers. In the first part of the course will briefly describe the historical development of music synthesizers and their integration into music production. In the next part of the course will discuss the theoretical foundations of specific types of electro-synthesis of sound, and the audience is then introduced to the practical application of appropriate professional music hardware and software. Students will also become familiar with the general principles of programming synthesizers, computer control of synthesizers and integration of synthesizers in the apparatus of digital and analog recording studio and their use in live production.

    - Basic concepts and facts for the classification of synthesizers, polyphony, multitibralita, keyboard and alternative
