Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce some important space-times of compact objects with magnetic fields. The attention will be paid to structures of these space-times, their derivations from Einstein-Maxwell equations, to the methods for charged particles motion description and, especially, to off-equatorial orbits. The course will be finished with lectures on modeling of electrically charged perfect fluid toroidal structures.
Syllabus
  • * gravitational and electromagnetic fields equations
    * space-times of compact objects with magnetic fields
    * motion of charged particles
    * off-equatorial motion of charged particles
    * electrically charged toroidal structures - the formalism
    * electrically charged toroidal structures in astrophysics
