Course objectives
Two semesters of Latin go back to the roots of the Italian language and other roman languages with the aim to explain the linguistic system of classical Latin focusing on the morphology. The course is dedicated especially to the present tense and the inflexion of the nouns, adjectives and pronouns. Besides exercises short Latin texts of ancient classical authors are read (Caesar, Cicero, Cornelius Nepos, Sallustius, Livius).

    14. Nouns, I declination, verbs, 1 and 2 conjugation of the present indicative
    15. Nouns, II declination, adjective I and II declination, adverbs, 3 conjugation
    16. Verbs, 4 conjugation in the present tense, personal pronouns
    17. Verb esse and compounds, deponent verbs
    18. Imperfect indicative and future I of the verb esse
    19. Nouns, III declination, first part
    20. Nouns, III declination, second part
    21. Adjectives III declination, adverbs, present active participle
    22. Imperfect indicative of all conjugations
    23. Nouns, IV and V declination
    24. Deponent verbs, revision and summary
