Course objectives
The course follows American Literature 1 and 2 and is centered on the pluralistic nature of contemporary American literature. The choice of selected texts reflects the diversity of American literature, much of it devoted to the literatures of cultures outside the mainstream, mainly American Jewish, African-American literature and popular genres such as graphic novels.
