Course objectives
The subject provides input information on cultural heritage as a sum of material and immaterial artefacts created in the past as a result of multi-layered professional, cultural, everyday and exceptionally motivated activities human individuals and society. He explains them as non-renewable values, irreplaceable sources of information about life conditions, overall framework and life of human individuals in different historical stages. It draws attention to the indispensability links of cultural heritage to local/regional origin, to the landscape and social environment.
Syllabus
  • 1. Terminology, methodology, sources and literature. 2. Concepts of the concept of cultural heritage, possibilities of classification and classification. 3. Immovable tangible cultural heritage (architecture and buildings, residences and residential complexes, etc.). 4. Movable tangible cultural heritage (archaeological artefacts, art, craft production, etc.). 5. Intangible cultural heritage (religious/folk traditions, rituals and festivities, music, dance, oral verbal creation etc.). 6. Possibilities of passporting cultural heritage, its protection and care (archives, museums, institutions of heritage care, etc.). 7. Possibilities of scientific research of cultural heritage on an interdisciplinary basis. 8. International level of cultural heritage protection (UNESCO). 9. National/state level of cultural heritage protection (national cultural/cultural monuments, heritage reserves, monument zones etc.) 10. Cultural heritage in everyday life and creation of contemporary cultural values. 11. Cultural heritage in a regional and local context. 12. Cultural heritage in an interdisciplinary context: presentation, education, tourism/cultural tourism. 13. Cultural heritage, local development and sustainability.
