- Course objectives
- An unprecedented boom in archaeological research in our country over the past 30 years, caused by intensive construction activity and a more consistent application of the principles of monument care, led to a significant increase in the volume of emerging archaedata, so it is practically impossible today to obtain these data at an appropriate scientific level without the use of modern computer technology in the real world acquire, record, then classify and record in a structured manner, then scientifically process and evaluate, and then publish or present. The task of the course is therefore to introduce students to the issue of contemporary application information technologies in archeology so that they are able to orientate themselves in today's basic characteristics "archaeoinformatics", to reflect on the possibilities it offers, and thus in practice they were able to correctly decide on the optimal solution, leading to the achievement of the most effective results in their future work in science and research.
