Course objectives

Lecture series aimed at further acquaint students with the problems of religious architecture from the early existence of historical monuments in Central Europe (ztotožnitelných the Romanesque style) after the end of the Renaissance. The examples demonstrated visual material (photographs, drawings projection, sections and elevations and other forms of display, which reconstructs the original state monuments and its historical transformations), students are acquainted with the history of one representative of architectural styles and the design and material specifics and copyright regional particularities.

Syllabus

• 1. Basic functional typology of religious buildings , an outline of the genesis of each type and screening functions or functions in characteristic form of disposition , development framework of ideas
  2. Cathedral - a conglomerate of functions and forms
  3. Romanesque churches of rural Central and Eastern Europe , the diversity of functions and their relationship with the interior layout and forms
  4. Transform rural monastic architecture as a set of objects oscillating between practicality and format selected examples
  5. Religious houses in the cities of Central Europe
  6. Genesis, evolution and diversity of the city's churches , selected examples beginnings of the 12th in the 13th and 14 century
  7. Urban churches in the late Middle Ages
  8. Rural religious architecture of Central and Eastern Europe in late- Gothic style - the context and regional characteristics
  9. Sacristy, chapel, hall and church towers Gothic era, the microarchitecture is loaded into the unit sacral objects ( chapel) and spaces in profane architecture of medieval castles, forts and townhouses consisting of a mosaic of small things - sedille , sanctuary and depository safes etc.
