- Course objectives
- The course provides initial preparation for the implementation of professional practice II and III and after graduation for employment in cultural and historical facilities in accordance with the profile of the graduate. The aim of the internship is to equip students with entry skills to perform activities and provide selected services in the field of care for cultural heritage and cultural and historical practical activities, to stimulate the development of their organizational skills. Completion of the internship contributes to greater motivation of students to apply the acquired knowledge and skills from teaching and thus increase their applicability in the labor market. Professional practice I is usually organized with an initial weekly block of theoretical training and a range of 3 weeks in a contracting institution. It typically takes place in memory institutions (museums, art / exhibition galleries, archeoparks, open-air museums), in installed buildings (castle, chateau, monastery, etc.), at workplaces of monument care, etc. The student participates, for example, in the preparation of guide activities and hears them, participates in the preparation of thematic cultural and historical products (lectures, animation programs for children, seniors, informed visitors, etc.), in basic activities related to the management and presentation of funds and collections, on the organizational provision of the operation of institutions. The internship takes place under the methodical guidance of a mentor - a cooperating expert from practice / institution and under the framework supervision of a teacher - supervisor; the final evaluation of the practice belongs to the subject guarantor. The student keeps a written diary; will receive the evaluation of a mentor and supervisor. Knowledge is verified in the form of an oral discussion, usually with the participation of a student, guarantor and supervisor.
