Course objectives
Course English Language II. builds on the course English Language I. and its aim is to further develop students' already acquired knowledge. Emphasis is placed on the grammar-lexical aspect of the language and the harmonious development of all four language skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking) so that students can communicate comprehensively and grammatically in everyday situations, both verbally and in writing, at a given language level. The topics covered reflect the three and four recommended lessons literature. These topics will be expanded to include additional materials reflecting the specific needs of students in order to deepen their knowledge of English speaking countries in Europe and the world and to reinforce awareness of the existence of different cultures and societies in the contemporary multicultural world. The course is completed by a credit from the taught curriculum. The output level of the course corresponds to the B1 + level and the aim of the whole series of English language courses I. - V. is for students to achieve the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
