- Course objectives
- Students will be acquainted with the main features, methods, approaches and concepts of cultural anthropology as a discipline about perception and formation of cultura otherness. Attention will be paid also to creating ethnic, gender and religious alterities. Economic and visual anthropology will be addressed. Emphasis will be on reading key texts of cultural anthropologists and analyzing their impact in historiography.

- Teaching methods
- The course will consist of lectures and seminars - the active participation of students in all forms of teaching is expected, as well as independent study of compulsory and recommended literature. Lectures will be supplemented by documentary material (photographs, pictorial material, video recordings, a visit to the current museum exhibition ...)
- Assessment methods
- The condition for granting credits is active participation in the course, processing and presentation of the selected topic at the seminar and passing the knowledge test.
