- Course objectives
- The students will be acquainted with the methods of foreign language teaching, their strengths and weaknesses. Special attention is paid to the communicative method and its comparison with the grammar-translation method. The activities will also cover various strategies and techniques of teaching and the basics of textbook usage. Teacher student interaction is also considered. The students will learn to prepare the lesson, its structure, selection of techniques and teaching aids. Emphasis is put the objectives, principles of communication between the teacher and the student, control of classroom activities and usage of various social forms.
