Course objectives
This course follows up Grammar 2, which is methodologically as well as topic-wise inspired by a modern corpus-based grammar, the Longman Grammar of Spoken and Written English. Having completed the course, the students will have an overview of the structure of the English language as far as its grammar is concerned. In this last part of the course, the students move from sentence structures to the grammar of conversation. The lectures and the seminars focus mainly on the question of word order and the features characteristic of the grammar of a dialogue.
