Prerequisites
After successful completion of the course , students will be able to present data in applications that are used in practice , then they will be able to apply theoretical knowledge to practical examples and learn to work in applications : Microsoft Excel , Microsoft Access and SPSS statistical application . Understand basic functions for data processing and also orients in a large area of software products. Based on the specified term work learn to create their own databases and learn to process your research in statistical application.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of applied science in archeology. The course focuses on modern technologies, which are used in practice. Students learn to work with modern technical features and control applications at the user level. Classes will focus on the issues of collecting and processing of archaeological data in spreadsheets to process the overall analysis of the data in a database application (creating tables, relationships, and queries, forms and reports). In the next part of the training focused on the use of basic statistical functions in a spreadsheet and also in SPSS for analysis of data obtained from surveys and research in this area. Practical exercises are designed to solve selected problems arising from the assignment theses. The main objective of the course is to develop students' knowledge and skills required to manage the implementation of ICT in this field.

  • 1 / Introduction, definition of objectives and content of the course, familiar with the literature and sources, the conditions for the granting of credit, the definition of basic concepts and relationships

    3 / Interactive presentations using multimedia application environment of interactive whiteboards
    4 / Creation of multimedia and interactive PDF format
    5 / Administration and share documents and knowledge via modern technology.

    8 / Spreadsheets (relative and absolute addressing, basic functions for data processing, image data processing.)
    9 / Fundamentals of descriptive and analytical statistics in archeology in MS Excel
