- Course objectives
- The course focuses on systematic development of the students` abilities to create various text types in English. The course loosely follows up Writing Skills, in which the basic writing skills are the focus. In Academic Writing 1, the main aim is for the students to operate with a larger amount of information and use it creatively and correctly in writing. The course provides an overview of Irish poetry and culture, from the French Revolution until contemporary times. It focuses on the most influential movements and representatives of Irish poetry.
