Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to give an introduction to the problems of solid state physics for student of Educational and Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics. Introduction is dedicated to the description of crystal structures and diffraction methods of study. In another part of the students acquainted with the crystal lattice and the theoretical basis of the study of electronic structure of crystal. Interpretation complement selected parts of the thermodynamic properties of crystals, the characteristics of metals, insulators and semiconductors in terms of electronic structure and crystal defects. Conclusion of the course is devoted to the overview of quasiparticles.
