Course objectives
The course focuses on systematic development of the students` language competence and on practical application of advanced English communication skills. Students prepare their own presentations on current topics and they discuss them. This way they learn to deal with difficult situations where problems need to be solved, to argue and ask other students specific questions. The entry level is C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The aim is enlarging the students` vocabulary and improvement in language interaction and strategies of language reception and production. Current material from the mass media of the English-speaking countries serves the students as a means of deepening their understanding of various issues and improving their speaking skills.
