Course objectives
The lecture focused on the development of disability art history as an independent scientific discipline since the first written testimony, showing the reflection of works of art from antiquity to the 20th century. The turning point in this broad time frame are medieval period, oriented intuitive acceptance heritage of the ancient world, full sacralisation of art and at the same time belittling artistry as a socio-professional status, then it is Renaissance humanism and its transfer order on the personality of the artist (Vasari), historical disputes art (basic concepts - Disegno and Invention) and a strong emphasis on contemporary architectural theory (L. B. Alberti, S. Serlio, A. Palladio), painting or sculpture conditional heroism time (the artist in the Middle Ages was a craftsman, is now discovered as a genius, winner of divine inspiration - Michelangelo). The following is complex and difficult to grasp the Baroque era historiography, which radically contrasts with the Enlightenment (rationalism, history of art as a science and tension between the aesthetic and historical) and soon to new historicism 19th century, progress of history and methods in art history to the 20th century, after the full establishment of art history as a historical science using a range of approaches, methods and ideas of other social science disciplines.

    4. Paragon - disputes about art in the Renaissance and Baroque
    5. The transformation of the discourse of art history from the late Renaissance and Baroque
    6. Enlightenment historiography and art - theory, philosophy, aesthetics
    7. By Johann Joachim Winckelmann by Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, the Berlin School of art history.
    8. The situation in the German history of art in the 2nd 19th and early 20th century.
    9. The Vienna school of art history, the relationship Viennese School and the Czech lands
    10. The Art history in Europe after the First World War - themes, personalities, methodological changes
    11. Czech art history from 1918 to the 50th 20th century - from the Vienna School of Marxism
