- Course objectives
- The lecture is designed as an introduction to a series of topics concerning tendencies and trends in contemporary German language. In so doing, the focus will be on the current development in pronounciation, grammatical forms (morphology), syntax, vocabulary, etc. The goal of the course will be to acquire the linguistic tools needed to study especially the recent history of German. The discussed texts will include authentic examples of contemporary German, their analysis will deepen and extend the knowledge and understanding of contemporary language. The seminars incorporate student presentations and discussions to the topics, characterisations of the texts in relation to the social and cultural enviroment as well as to the text types.
