Course objectives

Main objectives of the course is description and evaluation of individual types and categories of subject control and information retrieval languages. The course demostrates principal developmental trends, current position and application of document subject control in the Czech libraries and informaiton institutions. The course lays foundations of practical applications of knowledge organization and thesaurus.
