Course objectives
1) Introduction - Basic concepts and definitions Knowledge society, knowledge economy, knowledge management, characterized by features of the knowledge economy. 2) The New Economy The emergence of the new economy, the historical context, the political dimension of change, globalization, Internet, the growing influence of China. 3) Characteristics of manifestations of the knowledge economy in an international context Indicators of the new economy PIP and Eurostat index of the knowledge economy. 4) Competitiveness, Innovation Rating competitiveness in international comparisons of innovation as competitive advantage, strategy, competition and hyper. 5) Knowledge-based economy in practice The Lisbon strategy, multinational organizations: OECD, UNESCO, EU, Operational programs, research and development. 6) Human resources and their importance in Knowledge (New) Economy I. Human capital as a major factor of production, learning organization as a platform for the provision of goods and services, mutual learning, creation of work teams, flexible adaptation and response to constantly changing conditions, creativity, responsibility and autonomy of workers, management standardization human resources. II. Education in the knowledge economy, the changing role of universities, transformation processes of education, the idea of the knowledge society, the impact of the new economy education, the need for continuing education.
