Course objectives
Dramaturgy Workshop II, which will be conducted practically and partly theoretically, follows the course Dramaturgy Workshop I. Students will continue with theoretical debates over Czech theatre dramaturgy (repertoires) and they will seek new drama plots, information from theatre agencies, dramatisations, adaptations, books, short stories and everything adequate to be staged.. At the same time they try to follow, compare and comment the theatre plans and theatre repertories of different types, orientation and status in the Czech Republic. In group discussion they create a program and repertory plan of specific theatre or fictional theatre institution or festival. They compare their studies to the contemporary theatre scene, productions, cultural events, performances, festivals.
