Course objectives
The aim of the lecture/seminar is to provide students with basic knowledge concerning research on Medieval period in European conditions. Seminar should broaden already gained knowledge.
Learning outcomes
Student will gain some basic knowledge concerning the research on Medieval period in European environment.
Syllabus
  • The course is taught by an external specialist and students get acquaited with his/her field of research.
  • 1. Czech lands in the time of Grat Moravian Empire
  • 2. The beginings of Czech statehood and the development of Czech principality till the year 1198
  • 3. The last sovereigns from the Přemyslid dynasty 1198–1306
  • 4. Luxemburg dynasty on the Czech throne
  • 5. Hussite movement
  • 6. Czech state under the reign of jiří z Poděbrad and Jagiellonians
  • 7. The elements of Medieval world
  • 8. Europe in High Middle Ages
  • 9. Krizis and the transformation of Medieval Europe
