Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is to acquaint students practically with the basic principles of museum presentation, types and forms of museum presentation, specific forms of museum presentation, specifics of museum and gallery presentation. The course is focused on the differentiation of various presentation forms and their comparison (monument interior installation, museum and gallery exposition). The teaching method is based on mastering the theory of creating exhibitions and expositions on practical examples from practice.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- explain individual types of museum presentation;
- analyze the phases of creation and implementation of museum and gallery presentation;
- apply methodology and practical skills in creating the theme, libretto and scenarios of expositions and exhibitions;
- critically evaluate the form of current expositions and exhibitions, detect errors in exhibition practice.

  • 2. Basic orientation in museum presentation.
  • 3. Means and forms of museum presentation.
  • 4. Communication and perception in the museum. Exposition as a means of museum communication.
  • 5. Principles of museum presentation.

  • 7. Visitor aspects in the museum presentation.
  • 8. Preparation of the exhibition event.
  • 9. Realization of exhibition project.
  • 10. Field specifics of museum presentation.
  • 11. Perspectives of museum presentation.
