Course objectives
The course objective is to acquaint students with the preparation and implementation of a tourism project (tourist product) and the accompanying programme for the spa stay for the elderly. Students will be acquainted with the methods of project preparation and schedule creation, provision of contractual conditions and economic processing of the project. When preparing a project focused on tourism, students will obtain basic information about the preparation of the product, the method of choosing a suitable destination and the organizational and technical side of provision of the tourist product with regard to the possibilities, needs and possible movement restrictions of seniors. Students will try the preparation of the product including topographical and chronological preparation and method of securing the contractual conditions, method of creating a price calculation of the trip (preliminary and final calculation), individual steps of preparation of the guide, billing and evaluation of the implemented tourism project – tourist product for seniors so that they can take everything into account in their future employment in the preparation of the products. The second part of the course consists of the preparation of a leisure accompanying programme for the spa stay for seniors. Students will gain an overview of the method of preparation of the project in terms of selection of suitable forms of educational programmes and also about the organizational-technical aspect. They become familiar with the organizational, personnel, material and economic conditions necessary to provide the programme with a focus on educational activities.
Learning outcomes
Professional knowledge: Having completed the course, students can describe the creation of a tourism project and an accompanying spa stay programme for the selected group of tourism participants, seniors. They will understand the basic principles of creating a spa stay with an educational goal and of creating a tourist product with regard to the specific needs and requirements of seniors.

Professional skills: Based on the completion of the course, the student will be able to evaluate and design a project for the selected target group within the framework of a long-term spa stay or oa a travel product. They can prepare a project in terms of content and organization and ensure its implementation in cooperation with the selected organization.

General qualification: Having completed the course, students can independently analyze the offer of spa projects and tourism products for a specific group of spa clients or tourism participants – the seniors.

  • 1. Introduction to the issues of project preparation, preparation schedule arrangement, planned implementations and subsequent evaluation. The course will also include the formulation of potential risks and proposed countermeasures. PREPARATION OF A TOURIST PRODUCT FOR SENIORS
