Course objectives
The aim of the course English for Public Administration 4 is to summarize so far taught grammar and specialized word-stock in order that the students reach the level advanced with focus on specialised terminology in public administration. The language knowledge will be in the frame of individual exercises developed mainly by communication, the preparation for oral exam will be included. The focus will be put on all parts of study of Language: Reading, Listening, Writing and especially on part Grammar and Speaking In the group of pre-intermediate the elementary language skills and thematic circles will be deepened according to textbook English 365 Book 2. The student will concentrate on enlarging of conversation. The suitability of given word-stock is take into consideration with regard to usability in employment in public administration. The testing according to KET certificate will serve as a supplementary material. In the group of intermediate the elementary findings are developed deeper and the specialized word-stock and thematic circles according to English 365, Book 3 is being enlarged notably. The suitability of word-stock is taken into consideration according to specialised professional terminology and on conversational phrases which are supposed when working in public administration. The testing according to FCE certificate will serve as a supplementary material. The course is intended for Department of Public Administration and Regional Policy students only.

Teacher's information
The students are obliged to pass a test from specialised word-stock of PA4. Pre -intermediate students will write as a pre-exam test a PET test - part SPEAKING. Intermediate students will write as a pre-exam test a FCE test - part SPEAKING .
