Course objectives
The aim of the course is to present the main methodological aspects of social researches and explain the system of acquisition of social data and their processing. The course focuses the practical aspect, the students will adopt the skills for projecting and leading the researches aimed at acquiring findings about current social phenomena and issues. Study Outcomes: Professional Knowledge: Students will be introduced to the basic and special methods and techniques utilized in social research. Professional Skills: The course focuses on practical exercise, students will acquire skills for designing and conducting research aimed at gaining knowledge about current social phenomena and problems. General Qualification: They understand the knowledge acquired during their lessons and can apply them in further studies and in every-day life. Competences: Students can use the knowledge in various spheres of social life, they understand the nature of social research and are able to apply it. It is expected that students improve their knowledge constantly during their study.

Teacher's information
Exam in the form of a written test is focused on verification of the knowledge of the principles, procedures and basic and special methods and techniques of social research. Part of the evaluation is also the project and actualization of a sample social probe.
The instructor will notify the students on the topics that have not been fully lectured for them to seek in the compulsory literature or at the e-learning site.
