Course objectives
This course introduces students to the selected methods of analysis of data obtaining through differentiated methodological paradigms in the theoretical level. It explains not only the basic principles for creating data in quantitative, qualitative and integrated research strategy, as well as appropriate use of adequate statistics and qualitative analytical methods. In the application level the problems are solved by differentiated methodological paradigms.

  • 1st The methodological paradigms and paradigmatic matrix for data creation in individual research strategies (quantitative, qualitative and integrated)
    2nd Qualitative research strategy
    3rd Analysis of documents
    4th Ethnography
    5th Ethnographic observation and interview
    6th Analysis of documents
    7th Introduction to methods
    8th Different types of encoding (eg. open, axial) used by a theory
    9th Comparison of social work and its use for small numbers of cases
    10th Chart as a source of secondary data analysis
    11th Different levels of analytical work with a table/chart
