Course objectives
The aim of the course is to be oriented in models of social macro-practice to understand the historical context and development of approaches to community work. During the course, students will apprise the community work as a method of solving social problems, including use of social entrepreneurship and employment of people who are disadvantaged at the labor market. They will also extend the methodology of implementation of community projects that they can practice.

  • 1st Models of community organizing, their characteristics and historical roots
    2nd Analysis of processes and environment in the community
    3rd Alternative approach to community, standards of social business
    4th Roles and strategies of community worker
    5th Characters and examples of socially risky areas
    6th Analysis of social networks and the principles of working with group
    7th Corporate social responsibility, corporate philanthropy and their use for community cooperation
    8th Strategies of solving the social problem
    9th State administration in the political process
    10th Examples of good practice
