Course objectives
The National Qualification comprises a Viva Voce on the student´s Bachelor Thesis plus an oral Graduation Examination in nursing theory, applied nursing disciplines, and behavioural sciences. Upon passing the Qualification, the student becomes a qualified professional nurse capable of pursuing a nursing career in the Czech Republic and EU. He/she proves that he/she has acquired the knowledge, skills, social maturity and attitudes (to individuals, families and communities) necessary for quality care in professional nursing, as well as the promotion of the role/prestige of nurses in society. Graduates are expected to: know current trends in nursing practice in the Czech Republic and abroad, be able to critically evaluate successive stages of past, present and prospective developments in the nursing profession (including nurse practioner competencies/interventions/activities in the implementation of care).
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to continuous quality improvement in health care, basic concepts.
    2.Standards of nursing care - meaning, types, methods of creation, criteria.
    3. Maps of care.
    4. Analysis of standards developed by the medical establishment.
    5. Build processional standards of nursing care and assessment of their opponent - group work.
    6. Medical documentation and the requirements for its management.
    7. Audit standards of nursing and nursing medical records.

Teacher's information
Subjects/courses: all compulsory and an appropriate number of optional courses with an achieved total of 180 ECTS credits upon completion of bachelor level.
Completion of all study requirements. Submission of printed and/or digital version of Bachelor Thesis before deadline.
Viva Voce on student´s Bachelor Thesis (thesis defense against the body of experts), oral Graduation Examination as stipulated. Students will obtain topics for study beforehand.
