- Course objectives
- The instruction of the course involves the interpretation of the contemporary social psychology, presents its purpose, concept and basic socio-psychological topics, ideas, approaches, theories, methods, and knowledge with an emphasis on the applicability of socio-psychological thinking in particular in the area of public administration and public life of the society and the implementation of national and regional policies. Study Outcomes: Professional Knowledge: Students can adequately define the purpose, structure the subject matter and define the basic concepts, categories and constructions of social psychology. They understand the basic context and the conditionality of socio-psychological phenomena. Professional Skills: Students can navigate in the current socio-psychological phenomena, issues and situations. They can think about them in an informed manner, penetrate into their causal connections and relations. They also can assign relevant socio-psychological explanation and interpretation to the practical problems and situations identified in everyday social and organizational practice. General Qualification: Students are capable of utilizing the presented findings of social psychology both for the solution of various tasks of study within the study of their field, and while fulfilling common tasks and solving practical problems and situations of everyday social and administrative practice.

- 1. The subject, the creation and overview of the development of the socio-psychological thinking and application of social psychology
2. Cognitive methods of social psychology and socio-psychological research
3. Social interaction, motivation and interpersonal communication
4. Social cognition, interpersonal perception, emergence and formation of interpersonal relations
5. The individual and the group, social learning and socialization, interpersonal ties
6. Interpersonal behaviour, attitudes, prejudices and perceptual attitudinal and behavioural stereotypes
7. Social values, expectations and standards, conformal and nonconformist behaviour and conduct, group thinking
8. Social group, their purpose focus and effectiveness, structure and dynamics, leadership and management of groups
9. Individual, group and collective behaviour
10. Challenging situations - outside and the intra-group tensions and crises, pressures, deprivations, frustrations, conflicts, stresses, failures
11. Socially undesirable and harmful forms of social and interpersonal conduct..
12. Critical socio-psychological thinking and perspectives of further development, and the application of social psychology
