Course objectives
LECTURE The goal is to provide students with insight into the problems of the family, its development, forming relationships within the family, etc. The course is based on the fundamental characteristics of family history and contemporary Czech society, defines its functions, especially focusing on the educational function. Attention will be paid to the organization and the family atmosphere, in general, educational features and functions that are difficult in raising children.The concept of parenting, exposure to adequate educational resources, etc., will be analyzed in detail.

  • LECTURE
    1. Biological and cultural roots of the family. The family as a biological phenomenon. The concept of family.
    2. Socio-psychological perspective on the family.
    3. The family from a sociological perspective.
    4. Structure and dynamics of the family, the influence of education on the child. Current family - concepts, current issues.
    5. The family as a factor of education. Family function in relation to the child and their failure, family socialization and educational success of a child.
    6. Problems, conflicts and divorce. Legal view of the family.
    7. Current trends in the family. Postponing parenthood. Single parent families.
    8. Survey and psychological specifics of individual forms of foster care.
    9. Family with neglect, deprived and abused child.
