Course objectives
LECTURE The purpose of lectures is to introduce students to the basic knowledge of family law and also the pathological effects which occur in this field regulated by family law (criminality of adolescents, home violence etc.). Lectures will be focused on the questions concerning position of family and children in society, legal tools for the protection of marriage, parenthood and children, this will also extend to another parts of legal order, question of the position of courts, state agencies and private organizations in family law and the judicial proceedings in family law. After passing the subject of family law, students will be able to use basic orientation in legal regulations of family law and will be able to understand the effects which appears in common life. SEMINAR The purpose of seminars is the practical realization of the material covered in lectures and the knowledge of the various institutes of family law with practical examples. Students will be apprised of applications to court like petitions initiating a suit, judgements in family law, students will also take part in a simulated civil proceeding. Students will work up a seminar paper of 3 pages on one of the topics listed below. Practical and model situations, petitions initiating a suit and other submissions and applications related to these topics:
