- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce the students with statistical concepts and methods used in quantitative research. Study Outcomes: Professional Knowledge: Students understand basic statistical concepts and procedures. Professional Skills: Students can use a spreadsheet or statistical programs to compile a descriptive statistics of observed phenomena, to perform correlation and regression analysis, use a variety of standard statistical tests and evaluate the conclusions, examine a time series. General Qualification: Students are able to properly process and interpret the results of quantitative research.

2. Descriptive statistics Characteristics of position and variance.
3. Descriptive statistics Processing data using spreadsheets.
4. Descriptive statistics Processing data using statistical programs.
5. Correlation and regression analysis.
6. Reliability and validity.
7. Factor analysis
8. Estimates and reliability intervals.
9. Testing hypotheses: basic principles.
10. Testing hypotheses: parametric tests.
11. Testing hypotheses: non-parametric tests.
12. Choice of statistical test and its execution by means of statistical programs.
