Course objectives
The course objective is to acquaint students with selected chapters from the issues of gender identity in history, mythology, philosophy, religion, and other realms with regard to the history of feminism.The seminars focus on developing the issues addressed in lectures and on discussions of current social problems in terms of “gender” in the Czech Republic or on comparison with other countries.

Active participation in seminars, presentation of an assigned topic Written credit test is based on the presented issues and basic literature.

Teacher's information
During the semester, 12 hours of tutorial will take place which will include explanations of difficult parts of the curriculum.In the course of continuous study, students use the study material, they can discuss topics in individual and group consultations. Successful completion of the course requires students to demonstrate knowledge of compulsory literature, study material and lectures of in-person instruction.Students will be able to continuously consult the topics studied individually via e-mail, or in individual or team consultations upon request.Consultation days and hours are set by the instructor at the beginning of the semester but the instructor is also available by prior arrangement according to the students’ needs outside their consultation hours as well.
