- Course objectives
- The course objective is to acquaint the students with the issue of radiological sciences. The content consists of classical diagnostic radiology and other imaging modalities, including the related nursing care and radiation protection. In addition, typically dental applications (OPG) are discussed. Having completed the course, students will be able to navigate the appropriate uses of radiological methods to display certain tissues. They will also become acquainted with Act no. 263/2016 Sb.
- Learning outcomes
- Professional Knowledge: Students acquire and demonstrate knowledge of basic radiological methods and their physical principles. They will become acquainted with the possibilities of these methods and the suitability of use for the display of the tissues.
Professional Skills: Students are able to recognize the imaging taken by various radiological methods.
General Qualification: Students can describe and explain the formation of and kinds of X-ray radiations, the principles of CT, MR, ultrasound, NMR. They can also describe the possibilities of radiation protection.
Competences: Students can interpret the displayed tissue with respect to radiological method used. They can suggest the use of a suitable radiological method for the display of a particular tissue. They can utilize information to work in the controlled areas of radiological workplace. - Syllabus
