Course objectives
Work experience focuses on the area of health promotion and prevention of disease - primary care. It provides knowledge of the structure of primary care services and various kinds of equipment in primary care and in particular with the organization of services in primary care of women and children. Students will learn to evaluate the environment (physical and social) in which people live and risks to their health, learn about the types of diseases that occur in individual environments with the need for preventive measures and about methods of both individual and group health education. Work experience is focused on the area of overnight, inpatient and home healthcare services. Students will learn the structure of the services of hospital inpatient facilities where gynecology and obstetrics diagnostics, treatment and care is provided. They will learn to provide individualized care in midwifery.
