- Course objectives
- The course is aimed at acquiring competencies to improve the effectiveness of the learning process for students with special educational needs (SEN) in order to compensate for educational deficits related to the failure of full-time teaching due to pandemic COVID 19. Students will be introduced to the process of individualization of educational goals for students with SVP. Attention will be paid to the individual approach in tutoring, the application of recommended teaching methods and the preparation of appropriate teaching materials within the recommended support measures. Emphasis will be placed on the process of cooperation with the school, family and non-profit organizations in tutoring.

- characterizes the variables influencing the learning process
- describes special pedagogical phenomena and processes
- clarify the principles of modification of general methods in education and training with respect to the special needs of people with disabilities and disadvantages in the physical, mental or social field
Professional skills:
- is familiar with the basic principles of pedagogical communication and modifies the conditions of the communication context
- applies appropriate communication strategies and approaches in cooperation in tutoring students
- is able to apply methods and forms of work with pupils with special educational needs
General competences:
- is able to analyze and record the conditions and factors of educational reality through systematic observation
- is able to analyze and compare the data obtained from reality with theoretical knowledge
- is able to reflect on experience from their own pedagogical practice and purposefully use reflections as tools of professional learning
- is able to make independent and responsible decisions on the basis of a framework assignment

- 1. Mapping the learning style of pupils with SEN, principles of individual tutoring, supportive measures in the education of pupils with SEN.

- Assessment methods
- To be awarded the credit, the student is required to attend an introductory seminar. Furthermore, the student completes individual tutoring of students, keeps the required records, which he submits in the form of a portfolio to the teacher. Submission of the portfolio according to the set structure is a condition for granting credit. Content structure of the portfolio: individual plan of tutoring, preparation for tutoring, description of selected special pedagogical phenomena and processes in tutoring, analysis and reflection of tutoring results.

- Introductory tutorial for the purpose of input information (content and organization). The teacher has regular consultations, at which the student has the opportunity for an individual consultation meeting. Communication also takes place via e-mail.
