Course objectives (in Czech)
Prohloubit již dosažené základní znalosti gramatického a lexikálního systému anglického jazyka v kombinaci s intenzivním nácvikem čtyř jazykových dovedností v komunikativním kontextu. Aplikací zajímavých textů a nahrávek naučit studenty používat anglický jazyk v běžné obchodní komunikaci. Seznámit je se způsoby tvoření a obohacování slovní zásoby. Vést studenty k uvědomělému a cílevědomému používání jazyka v komunikaci jak z hlediska plynulosti, tak správnosti.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • 1. First meetings
    Present simple; Wh-questions; Adverbs of frequency.
    Introductions, greetings, and goodbyes.
    2. Professional lifestyles
    Present Simple and Present Continuous.
    Making contact.
    3. Business or pleasure?
    Past Simple; Regular and irregular verbs.
    Welcoming a visitor.
    4. The most exciting city in the world? Comparative and superlative adjectives. Staying at a hotel.
    5. Have a pleasant flight! Mass and count nouns; some / any, a lot of / much / many.
    At a restaurant.
    6. A suitable candidate? Past Simple and Present Perfect Simple. Making arrangements.
