Course objectives
Course objectives: The aim of the first year is to achieve the B1 level with the students. Communication skills in a foreign language are oriented on the common professional situations, as well as the ability to be well informed about the language in a wide range of issues of the daily professional reality. All four types of skills are developed comprehensively - speaking, reading, listening and writing. Emphasis is placed on active speaking, the language readiness and the ability to express oneself fluently in a foreign language environment. It systematically leads to obtain international certificates at B1a and to prepare for the next international tests. The course aims to introduce students to the ways of creating and enriching the vocabulary and also lead students to the conscious and purposeful use of the language in communication as far as both fluency and grammatical accuracy are concerned. Students will be able to read simple texts oriented on economics, management, marketing and finance and comment on them.
