Course objectives

The aim of this course is to provide students with basic information about the history and culture of their use for tourism, gives an overview of the basic features styles in architecture, painting, sculpture, applied arts, respectively. as well as music and theater, from the time of prehistoric finds in our country (in Europe from the 17th century) to the latest artistic direction of 21st century. Identifying the greatest cultural figures of the period.

  4. The development of feudalism and Gothic
  5. Period and heritage of Karel IV.
  6. The Hussite and its historical implications
  7. The Renaissance and Mannerism
  8. Baroque culture and its forms in the Czech Republic
  9. Rococo and Classicism
  10. National Revival and the National Theatre generation
  11. Historicism in architecture of the 19th century and Art Nouveau
  12. Modern trends 20th century
  13. Cultural changes after 2 World War II to the present
