The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The main aim of the course is to present students the basic rules and principles of the Internet in order to that they would be able to use internet services to a maximum extent. The students will be acquainted with the fundamental application protocols and related applications, with principles of webhosting, and hosting of internet portals.

  • 1. Internet; rules and principles of communication in large networks
    2. Internet infrastructure, communication protocols and principles of domains as basic building blocks of the Internet
    3. Communication protocols and representative services provided by application layer (message and e-mail transmission, remote access)
    4. Services for file transmission and file sharing
    5. Services for hypertext transmission, world wide web
    6. Domain administration, webhosting, server administration
    7. Internet systems and framework for dynamic web content
    8. Hypertext, web technologies, name spaces
    9. Software technology of client side applications
    10. Software technology of server side applications
    11. XML; schemes and transformations
    12. Webdesign, webmarketing, SEM, SEO
    13. Other internet services: VoIP, audio and video conferences, online applications, cloud computing
