Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the history and importance of European economic and political integration. The aim of the course is to present primary sources of EU law. To obtain a comprehensive view of European freedom, free movement of goods, services, persons and capital.
Syllabus
  • 1. The concept of EU law. European integration and the formation of the European Communities. The European Union
    2. The EU institutions (European Commission, Council and European Council)
    3. The EU institutions (European Parliament, the Court of Justice of the European Union)
    4. Sources of EU law. Linkages between institutions, decision-making procedures
    5. Enforcement of the EU law
    6. Interpretation of EU law
    7. The common market - internal market, free movement of goods, trade relations within the EU
    8. Free movement of person
    9. The social security law and labor law of the EU
    10. Right of establishment, free movement of services and free movement of capital in EU
    11. Company law, competition in the common market
    12. Other areas in law of EU
    13. Sources of information on EU law
